Before you begin
Decide upon a title, description, keywords, and theme for your podcast.
Record or make your own sound from from vinyl records, cds, digital, cassette recordings, or your own instruments, and write down all information of the source of the music, artist, records label, year, and any other relevant information. Export your audio into an MP3 file format with the appropriate ID3 metadata. We won’t change or encode the file and what is uploaded is the same file that will be played and downloaded by your subscribers.

Prepare an image to be used to represent your podcast. Select an image, create a graphic, drawing, take a photo, or any other means to generate an image.

Settings
Before you start uploading audio you need to give your podcast a title, image, keywords that will be associated with it. You can do these by visiting your profile page once you’ve logged in, and scrolling towards the bottom. You’ll find a section titled Podcast Settings.

Fill out all the fields, and select an image that is no smaller than 601×601 and is best to be square in ratio. If you’re podcast has a consistent copyright also fill this field. Please mark your podcast as explicit if it communicates ideas not suitable for children, and it will be listed as such for iTunes subscribers. Once your setting have been filled out, scroll to the bottom and click the button Update Profile, and your settings are saved.
Upload and Publish
Navigate to the admin interface of the website by clicking Add Music in the user logged-in header of the website. If you’re familiar with the WordPress admin interface, you should feel at home. On the left side there are tabs and you need to go to the tab titled Sounds if you are not already there. Once there you can click on Add New to take you to a page to upload and add your music.

The title will be used to automatically generate a URL, so make sure include descriptive keywords in your title that you would want someone to find by search keyword.
On the right side of the page below the Publish Box there is a box titled Featured Image. This is where you can upload and choose the image to use for your sound. Click on Set featured image for a dialog window to appear. Select Browse… and choose the image from your computer, and then after finishing press Upload, and your image will be uploaded and “crunched” to its various sizes needed for display. Once finished, it should appear, then press Show and then towards the bottom of the entry there is text that says Use as Featured Image, press that and then close that dialog box.

Optionally, enter all of the Sound Meta fields. The description will help not only people get an idea of the audio, but will help your podcast in being found through search engines. Attribution is essential and legally required in most typical podcasts; it will help to promote those featured in your podcast so providing detailed and precise information is important. You can put your own name as the Artist or if someone else arranged the podcast you can put their name. The label ID can be used if this is part of a series from a record label. If the podcast has a consistent copyright you can also fill this field, such as “Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike” or “2011 Your Records”.
Finally at the top choose the audio file to be used for your podcast. Select Browse… from the Sound File box, and choose your audio file and return back to the page.

Now that all of the fields are setup you’re now ready to publish your sound by pressing the Publish button.

Your audio file will now be uploaded and can take quite some time if it’s large, so this would be a good time to leave and go take care of some other errands and when you return your podcast should be uploaded and published for your subscribers and listeners.
