Back in the early 2000’s, long before being hailed as one of the world’s most inventive, adventurous, and uniquely stylish producers of electronic music, Alfred Darlington a.k.a. Daedelus was, well, still pushing musical boundaries with aggressively experimental electronic music. Phthalo had the distinct honor of releasing his first album, “Her’s Is >,” an uncharacteristically dark venture into the mind of the unflappably polite and positive dandy we all know and love today. In 2006, Daedelus graced Phthalo once again with “Axe Murderation Remixes,” wherein Phthalo regulars and special guests take gleeful delight in further mutilating the record’s title track, a twisted and troubled meditation on extreme drum and bass.
