Jason Potratz’s 2001 debut album, ‘Transfer’, was a work of experimental acid techno well ahead of its time. This release heralded much of the ensuing popularity of SH-101, MC-202, and TB-303-inspired electronics. Potratz’s programming and sound design are flirtations with ways of grounding the groundless.
