Miro Merlak aka Spleen comes from Croatia. Since the late 90’s he has released several albums of experimental electronic music as both Spleen and qwerty on Phthalo, Piehead and Kitchen Sink. In 2001, Phthalo released his self-titled album, ‘Spleen’. Made mostly circa 1995, Spleen is an expedition in chopped low octave snare grunts, decimated monostrings and silvery whirs of assembly line conveyor belt cogs and levers.
